MASAHIKO INAGAKI｜稲垣 正彦

東京・麻布生まれ、東京在住。
広告、レコードジャケット、ファッション誌、専門誌、写真集など幅広いフィールドで活動。
スナップや風景写真を軸に、近年はポートレートを含む人物作品にも表現領域を広げている。
暗室での自家現像・プリントをライフワークとし、特にDGSMによるモノクローム作品を得意とする。
街や旅先の風景を静謐に切り取るスナップ、VOGUE系モノクロームポートレートなど、光と空気感を重視した作品を制作している。
個展を定期的に開催し、グループ展を含め展示歴は50回以上。
蔦屋書店企画による1ヵ月間のロングラン個展を開催するなど、国内主要ギャラリー・美術館でも作品を発表。
東京都写真美術館、金沢21世紀美術館などで展示。
写真集出版や企画編集活動も行い、表現と出版の両面から写真文化に関わり続けている。

BIOGRAPHY

MASAHIKO INAGAKI
Fine Art Photographer
Born and based in Azabu, Tokyo, Japan.
Masahiko Inagaki is a contemporary Japanese photographer working across fine art and commercial fields, including advertising, fashion magazines, record covers, and photography books.
His work centers on street photography and landscapes, while in recent years he has expanded into portraiture, capturing subtle human emotions and atmosphere.
Inagaki is deeply committed to traditional darkroom practice, specializing in DGSM monochrome printing.
His images are known for their quiet intensity, delicate use of light, and a timeless sensibility influenced by classic European and American photography.
He has held numerous solo exhibitions, including a month-long long-running show curated by Tsutaya Books, and has participated in over 50 exhibitions nationwide.
His works have been exhibited at major institutions such as the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.
In addition to his photographic practice, he is also active in publishing and editorial projects, contributing to the photographic culture in Japan.

Masahiko Inagaki’s snapshots of foreign landscapes are marked by a distinctly Japanese sense of wabi-sabi, capturing beauty through imperfection, silence, and transience.
Active across a wide range of creative fields, Inagaki brings his social awareness and personal perspective into his photography, allowing deeper thoughts to resonate beneath the surface of each image.

This is the first photography collection by Masahiko Inagaki, a traveler of coastlines both in Japan and abroad.
